Job summary

Müller UK & Ireland invites university students to join its Packaging Internship Program. Over 13 months, you will gain hands‑on experience in packaging materials, tools and processes within a leading FMCG business.

You will analyze data to support packaging decisions, assist with laboratory testing and manufacturing trials, and help deliver small packaging projects while developing project management and technical skills.

Qualifications

• GCSE Grade 5 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to anticipate problems and provide solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with a keen interest in leadership and change management.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.
• Full UK driving licence, held for at least one year.

Contract: Starting July 2027, 13-month Fixed Term Contract

Hours/Shift Pattern: 8am- 4pm/ 9am- 5pm, Monday to Friday

Whatyou'llbe doing:

Packaging plays an essential role in business and Müller is looking for talented placement students to join the Packaging team. This opportunity allows students to gain an understanding into packaging materials, packaging tools and processes, within an award‑winning FMCG business.

You will support packaging decision‑making through data analysis while assisting with laboratory testing and manufacturing trials. You will also have opportunities to gain experience delivering smaller packaging projects, helping to develop your project management and technical skills.

Key tasks & responsibilities include:

• Collect and analyse data to support packaging decisions
• Contribute to the development, research, and implementation of packaging innovations
• Assist with laboratory testing and manufacturing trials
• Collaborate across departments and gain exposure to the wider business
• Support sustainability, legislation, and printing/decoration technology projects
• Participate in a group project with fellow placement students

• Product Design
• Polymer Science

Key Skills and Qualities Include:

• GCSE Grade 5 (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to anticipate problems and provide solutions
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a keen interest in leadership and change management
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
• Capability to work across multiple projects, meet demanding deadlines, and prioritise tasks in a rapidly changing environment

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
• Eligibility to work in the UK (Please note this role is not eligible for sponsorship as the salary falls below the required threshold.)
• Full UK driving licence, held for at least one year
