Smurfit Westrock Weston-super-Mare is seeking a Design Engineer or Graduate Designer to develop 2D and 3D packaging designs. You will take client briefs through concept, CAD development, samples, and into production, aligning with manufacturing constraints.

The role emphasizes creating CAD designs, collaborating with Sales and Operations, and producing visuals and samples for customer evaluation. A background in packaging CAD is desirable, with strong communication and time management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in Packaging Industry
• Proficiency in 2D/3D design workflows
• Ability to manage design through production lifecycle

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate CAD designs and drawings for packaging solutions
• Develop concepts and CAD designs from client brief through samples to production
• Coordinate with Sales & Operations to ensure correct information and timely delivery
• Ensure factory information matches Customer requirements and briefs
• Generate conceptual artwork through to 3D visuals and mock-ups
• Operate design system and business software effectively
