Job summary

Reaseheath College and University Centre is seeking a highly organised PA to support the Assistant Principal for Student Experience and Support. The role reports to the Executive Assistant and involves handling senior leadership activities in a fast-paced environment.

You will coordinate the diary, prepare documentation, service meetings, and assist with projects and events, while liaising with staff, students and parents. 47 days leave and a strong pension are among the benefits.

Qualifications

  • Educated to at least Level 3 with GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft 365, including Excel and databases.

About the role

The Student Experience and Support team plays a vital role in ensuring learners receive outstanding pastoral care, guidance and support throughout their time at college. Working at the heart of this team, you will contribute to creating a positive, inclusive and high-quality student experience that supports both personal development and academic success.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive PA to provide an efficient and effective personal administration service to the Assistant Principal (Student Experience and Support). Whilst this role will be supporting the Assistant Principal, the role will report directly into the Executive Assistant.

This is a fast-paced and varied role where you will play a key part in supporting the smooth running of senior leadership activity, ensuring priorities are effectively managed and deadlines are met.

Key responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the Assistant Principal’s diary, ensuring commitments are realistic and prioritised effectively
  • Prepare high-quality correspondence, reports, presentations and documentation
  • Service meetings including agenda preparation, minute taking and tracking of actions
  • Provide project and event support, including organising meetings, visits and college events
  • Liaise with staff, students and parents where required, including supporting conduct processes
  • Raise purchase orders and support budget monitoring
The successful candidate will:
  • Be educated to at least Level 3, with GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) at Grade C/Level 2
  • Have strong IT skills and particularly in Microsoft 365, including Excel and database systems
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload
  • Be proactive, solution-focused and able to anticipate needs and priorities
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
  • Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ideally have experience in a similar administrative or PA role, preferably within an FE environment

Industry professionals joining the College in an academic role, will complete their Further Education Training whilst in post.
