The role focuses on the procurement-to-pay cycle, ensuring compliant contracts and efficient purchasing practices within the council The post involves maintaining the central Contracts and Grants Register, placing travel and stationery orders under contract, and supporting contract officers and stakeholders with procurement queries.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the use of associated P2P processes, purchasing practices and associated documentation are used appropriately and accurately in all council contracts
• Utilising and updating the central Contracts and Grants Register
• Place travel and stationery orders in accordance with the corporate contracts in place
• Assisting contract officers, managers and procurement queries from internal and external stakeholders
