Job summary

Michael Page International Recruitment Limited is seeking a P2P Support Specialist to join our finance team in a hybrid 50/50 role. The position focuses on Accounts Payable and P2P processes, reporting to support day-to-day operations and process improvements.

The role requires strong AP knowledge, supplier statement reconciliations, and the ability to investigate queries and resolve ledger discrepancies. This is a permanent full-time opportunity in Manchester, offering salary £30,000–£32,000

Qualifications

• Strong, practical Accounts Payable experience.
• Good knowledge of supplier statement reconciliations and AP ledger reconciliations.
• Experience investigating and resolving invoice, payment and supplier queries.
• Strong understanding of AP processes across systems and environments.
• Attention to detail to keep ledgers accurate and tidy.
• Ability to analyse information, spot trends and identify issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage and investigate Accounts Payable and P2P queries, researching invoices, payments and supplier issues.
• Complete supplier statement reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and ensuring items are resolved.
• Reconcile supplier statements against the AP ledger to keep records accurate.
• Maintain and tidy AP ledgers, investigating aged or unusual items.
• Carry out core Accounts Payable activities with accurate processes.
• Produce regular AP/P2P reporting showing outstanding queries and trends.
• Analyse AP data to identify performance issues and root causes.
• Work with teams to resolve recurring issues and improve the P2P process.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance accuracy and supplier experience.
• Investigate increases or unusual patterns in query volumes.
