Tasks

This could be ideal for a return to work parent - we want this to be a part time role, it might be 3 days per week, or 5 hours 5 days a week, salary pro-rata accordingly. Exact hours to be agreed with the right candidate, we will work with you!

We are seeking an experienced qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or a highly experienced finance professional (QBE) to become our p/t Head of Finance/Finance Manager. We need someone to manage our daily financial operations, monitor and enforce our financial policies and procedures, manage the budget, and ensure we remain compliant.

The role will include Financial Planning and Analysis, Financial Control, Reporting, and some Team leadership. Like everyone at OX, you will contribute to an environment of collaboration and cross-functional teamwork, as well as continuous evaluation and refinement of our practices, tools, and processes.

You will develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, and work closely with the team to drive results and ensure objectives are reached.

Requirements

Essential skills / criteria / experience:

• A passion for all things finance!
• Local to Leamington Spa - we support wfh but we need someone who will be regularly in the office to engage with the wider team
• Experience of running financial reporting, planning and analysis processes end to end
• Management of all month end processes
• Some successful finance team leadership
• Proven track record for driving results and ensuring objectives are met
• Owning and managing share option compliance end-to-end

Desirable Experience:

• Creating reporting material for Board packs
• Equity / Debt fundraising, or the associated compliance
• Creating materials for fundraising, including pitch decks, and data room contents
• Making successful R&D claims
• Working with software including Spendesk and Xero
• Experience as an auditor, or running audits
• Experience in a fast growing start up
• Experience in an impact-focused business, and/or climate tech, and/or manufacturing

Given the market we operate in, as well as the others we plan to expand to, an understanding of emerging markets such as Rwanda would be advantageous.

The role will be based in Warwickshire and will support flexible working with a mixture of working from home and in person, following the working patterns agreed upon with your team.
