Role Purpose:

Working with the Own Brand Procurement Buyer and the Commercial team as a Procurement Partner to support, monitor, and control projects and purchases of Own Brand products from suppliers.

A typical day includes:

• Following the tender process diligently, from project conception through quotations, tenders, contracts, monitoring, and re-tendering.
• Ensuring clear documentation and evidence of each contracting step with suppliers.
• Maintaining an accurate UK contract database, tracking upcoming contract expiries, break options, and savings opportunities.
• Supporting the Own Brand Commercial team in setting up and managing tenders and supplier relationships.
• Managing tenders from initial requirements to market analysis, contract management, implementation, and post-analysis.
• Adopting negotiation strategies to secure the best terms for the business.
• Developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships to meet business needs.
• Supporting the Own Brand Procurement Buyer as needed.
• Taking responsibility for personal and professional development.

Requirements:

• Experience in tenders and category management.
• CIPS qualification or equivalent, or experience as a Junior Buyer, is advantageous.
• Strong negotiation skills to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Confidence in making impactful procurement decisions.
