Job summary

The Grammar School at Leeds (GSAL) invites applications for an Owls Teaching Assistant to support children aged 3–11 in wraparound care. This part-time, term-time role starts January 2027 and offers a friendly, caring environment.

Responsibilities include supervising children, promoting positive behaviour, assisting with personal care where needed, and providing first aid. GCSEs grade 4/C English and Maths are essential; Level 3 Early Years is desirable, with paediatric first aid and food

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above are essential.
• Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable.
• Paediatric first aid and food hygiene training or willingness to undertake relevant training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children aged 3–11 in wraparound care.
• Support positive behaviour and a safe, tidy environment.
• Assist with personal care when required and provide first aid when needed.
• Commit to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Education
