Job summary

Alutiiq, LLC seeks a Generator Technician for field service assignments, including preventative and corrective maintenance on generator systems and related equipment. The role requires travel overseas, adherence to safety standards, and coordination with the team leader and facility management.

You will review inspections, prepare reports, and ensure clean, organized work sites, with responsibilities ranging from load testing to documented bill of materials and service reports.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a State approved/accredited or military program that provided formal training in electrical generating and/or power transfer equipment.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
• Must have the physical ability to travel overseas.
• Must be able to pass a physical examination for duty.
• Must be able to work on ladders, access rooftops and other hard to reach areas, and lift and carry materials/tools over 25 lbs.
• Must be familiar with NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, OSHA and related safety regulations.
• Proficient in using a computer to send email and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Attend in-brief meetings and relay plans to the team and facility management.
• Coordinate access to secure locations and assist with outages and load tests.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on IMAP generator equipment per SOW.
• Create and update equipment inventories and PM checklists.
• Document findings and comments in the service records and BOM.
• Prepare and deliver service reports and communicate results to supervisors.
