The manager is at the forefront of the department's work. Responsibilities include travelling internationally, meeting clients, colleagues, and auditees, leading meetings and audit teams, supporting junior colleagues, writing and reviewing audit reports, managing key relationships, and representing the team to multiple stakeholders. The role contributes to client success, the development of auditees, and the growth of colleagues. It offers both office-based management work and unique travel experiences. Depending on the assignment, responsibilities include:

• Preparing and reviewing tailored plans for assignments based on terms of reference and contractual conditions
• Leading or supporting opening meetings with clients and auditees, and presenting audit findings at closing meetings
• Leading or supporting fieldwork teams, including local staff, on overseas assignments or working independently
• Identifying issues and non-compliance areas, and documenting findings clearly in reports
• Ensuring high-quality written outputs through thorough report reviews
• Leading or supporting larger country-wide teams, acting as the client focal point, and managing related tasks
• Supporting junior colleagues' learning and development
• Serving as a trusted contact for clients and service providers, offering solutions and support
• Managing time effectively and working to tight deadlines
• Being prepared for international travel up to 30% of the time, with opportunities increasing as the pandemic situation improves

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have:

• A genuine interest in international development
• A passion for international travel, with experience in working or volunteering abroad
• Proficiency in a second language such as French, Spanish, German, Russian, Arabic, Portuguese, or Mandarin
• A professional accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
• Excellent communication skills in a professional, constructive, and respectful manner
• A proven ability to manage teams and support clients effectively
• At least 5 years of proven experience in audit and assurance work
