Job summary

West Sussex County Council is seeking a Night Support Worker for Stanhope Lodge in Worthing. This part-time, permanent role involves providing personal care and support during waking night shifts, with emphasis on respect, safety and well-being of residents.

You will join a team in a residential setting and may work up to 10-hour shifts, including evenings or weekends, with enhancement for weekend, bank holidays, and night duties. Training and progression opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Understanding of working with people with learning disabilities, dementia, and cognitive impairments.
• Experience working in a team setting.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and manual handling is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal, physical and emotional care during a waking night shift.
• Listen to individuals with respect, ensuring dignity and safety.
• Undertake light domestic duties to maintain cleanliness and comfort.
• Perform hourly wellbeing and security checks of residents and the building.
