Job summary

CrossReach is seeking a Night Care Worker for the Ardrossan seafront, supporting up to 39 residents. You’ll provide personal and practical overnight care, help maintain dignity, and ensure smooth handovers between shifts in a care home setting.

Applicants should be calm, dependable and able to work independently during night shifts. PVG and SSSC registration are required, and an SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is encouraged or being pursued.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working toward it)
• Care experience is welcome but not essential
• PVG and SSSC registration required

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and practical assistance during the night.
• Respond promptly and sensitively when someone needs support or reassurance.
• Support people with mobility, comfort and other overnight care needs.
• Carry out appropriate checks in line with individual care plans.
• Recognise and report changes in health, behaviour or wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate records and share information during shift handovers
