Job summary
Marie Curie is recruiting an Overnight Healthcare Assistant to provide one-to-one, night-time care in patients' homes within approximately 25 miles of the carer’s residence. You will work independently with MDT support, following personalised care plans to keep patients comfortable, safe and dignified through the night.
The role requires NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), at least six months’ care experience, a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle, and excellent
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- At least six months' experience delivering care in a health or social care setting
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach
- Experience or knowledge of palliative and end-of-life care
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, person-centred care in patients' homes
- Support comfort, dignity and wellbeing throughout the night
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition
- Follow personalised care plans and work closely with the wider clinical team
- Provide reassurance and support to patients and those important to them
