Job summary

Carden Park Hotel in Chester is seeking a Night Porter to join the overnight team. This permanent role runs 32–40 hours per week from 10:30pm to 7am, including weekends. You will assist guests, manage late check-ins, handle room service deliveries and maintain public areas to the highest standard.

Salary is £26,800 per annum, with service charge and extensive benefits. A driving license is desirable and travel to the rural location may require own transport.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel, hospitality or customer service environment preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, flexible attitude and ability to work calmly under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service throughout the night with professionalism and care.
• Greet guests and manage check-in/check-out procedures efficiently.
• Take and deliver room service orders promptly and courteously.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of public areas to a high standard.
• Carry out regular security and safety checks to ensure a secure environment.
• Support other departments overnight to ensure smooth hotel operations.
• Respond to guest enquiries promptly to create memorable experiences.
