Job summary

Carden Park Hotel Ltd is seeking a Night Porter to join our overnight team, delivering guest service throughout the night and ensuring a warm, safe and comfortable stay for guests. You will be part of the sleeping hours crew, contributing to the hotel’s high standards.

The role offers 32–40 hours per week (4–5 nights), with a permanent contract and a salary of £26,800 per year plus service charge and extensive benefits. Weekend work is included.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel, hospitality or customer service environment preferred but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, flexible and can-do attitude.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Confidence working independently during overnight shifts.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and upholding high standards.
• Full clean Driving License is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service throughout the night, anticipating and responding to guests' needs with professionalism and care.
• Welcoming guests with efficient check-in and check-out procedures.
• Making and delivering room service orders promptly and courteously.
• Maintaining the cleanliness, presentation and organisation of public areas to the highest standard.
• Carrying out regular security and safety checks across the resort, ensuring a secure environment for guests, visitors and colleagues.
• Supporting other departments overnight to ensure the smooth running of hotel operations.
• Responding confidently and efficiently to guest enquiries and requests, creating memorable experiences at every opportunity.

Role: Night Porter

As a Night Porter, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our guests receive a warm welcome, outstanding service and a safe, comfortable stay throughout the night. You'll be a key member of the overnight team, providing support across the hotel and helping to maintain the high standards our guests expect.

Your night with Team Carden:

About You
