Job summary

Clancy is seeking an experienced Overhead Linesperson to support construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead electricity networks across the Cambridgeshire area and UK Power Networks footprint. You will work on LV to up to 11kV infrastructure, ensuring safe and reliable supply while leading a two-person on-site team.

The role requires proven HV/LV line work, a valid UK driving licence, and relevant authorisations (Pole Top Rescue, First Aid, MEWP, HGV, NPTC/Electricity Distribution) as

Qualifications

• You have proven experience working on overhead electricity networks up to 11kV.
• Experience in DNO environments (UK Power Networks) or ability to obtain competency authorisations is highly beneficial.
• Live Working Accompaniment accreditation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain and repair overhead networks up to 11kV.
• Install and replace poles, conductors and insulators.
• Carry out planned maintenance, fault response and emergency restoration.
• Support network reinforcement, diversion and asset replacement projects.
• Work safely at height using approved climbing and access techniques.
• Test procedures and dynamic risk assessments on HV and LV lines.
• Inspect defects across the network and maintain records.
• Liaise with customers, landowners and stakeholders on site.
• Lead a two-person team, coaching apprentices and less experienced colleagues.
