Job summary

OCU Group seeks an experienced LE2 Linesman to join our South West overhead line operations. The role covers construction, maintenance, and modification of LV and 11kV networks, supporting new connections and network upgrades across the UK.

You will work with Supervisors and operations teams to ensure safe, timely project delivery, complete records, and update digital systems. A current LE2 authorisation and a full UK driving licence are essential; SSEN/NRSWA credentials are advantageous for

Qualifications

• Current LE2 authorisation and LV/11kV experience.
• Experience delivering overhead line construction, maintenance and alterations.
• Strong safety knowledge and adherence to procedures.
• Ability to read job packs and drawings; good communication.
• UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out overhead line construction, maintenance, refurbishment, and dismantling across LV and 11kV networks.
• Support delivery of new connections, diversions, reinforcement works, and network upgrades.
• Install, replace, and maintain poles, conductors, stays, fittings, and OHL equipment.
• Ensure safe execution of works in line with procedures and standards.
• Promote a positive safety culture across all site activities.
• Collaborate with Supervisors, Site Managers, and teams for efficient delivery.
• Complete site records, inspection reports, and project documentation on time.
• Update digital workforce management systems and provide progress updates.
• Assist with fault response and emergency works when required.
• Maintain company vehicles, plant, tools, and equipment in safe condition.
