Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to lead overhead line projects within the Transmission & Distribution sector. Based near Runcorn, you will own cost management from award through final account and collaborate with project, operational and commercial teams.

You will monitor forecasts, variations and risk, ensuring accurate reporting and strong commercial outcomes while developing your career within a long-term framework environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in utilities, power, energy, infrastructure or civil engineering.
• Strong commercial awareness with cost control and forecasting capability.
• Ability to manage subcontractor accounts, variations and commercial change.
• Proven communication skills across project, client and delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of project cost management, forecasts and visibility of commercial performance.
• Manage variations and commercial change, assessing impacts and mitigation.
• Work with project teams to identify risks and implement controls.
• Prepare Cost to Complete forecasts and Cost Value Reconcilations for accurate reporting.
• Manage subcontractor packages from procurement to final settlement and payment.
• Provide commercial guidance to project managers and operational teams.
