Job summary

Taylor Hopkinson Limited is seeking an Overhead Line Project Engineer to support a major offshore wind farm in the UK. You will join a multidisciplinary project engineering team and contribute across the full lifecycle from design through commissioning.

Responsibilities include reviewing contractor designs for compliance, ensuring engineering governance, and coordinating with other disciplines while promoting safety and mitigating risk in line with CDM procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in overhead line development, design, and specification or transferable experience.
• Familiarity with overhead line design software (e.g. PLS-CADD) is advantageous but not essential.
• A technical degree or HND, with relevant experience in the field.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to explore design options and apply evidence-based decision-making.

• Promote and manage safety within the assigned projects through the implementation of CDM procedures and practices, ensuring the project engineering is compliant with company, HSE and industry regulations.
• Work closely with Engineering Managers and Project Managers to ensure that Engineering and Quality risks are identified and mitigated.
