Reactive Driving Recruitment is seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Operator in Walsall to join a busy industrial operations team. You will move materials with overhead lifting equipment, support warehouse activities and maintain safety and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has prior crane operation experience in manufacturing or warehousing, good mechanical awareness and the ability to spot faults.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating overhead cranes or similar lifting equipment.
• Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, construction, or warehouse environment.
• Good mechanical awareness and the ability to identify potential equipment problems.
• Understanding of safe materials-handling and warehouse procedures.
• Relevant crane operator certification or recognised training is desirable.
• Forklift experience would be an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Operate overhead cranes and associated lifting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Position and move materials in accordance with operational requirements.
• Complete equipment inspections before use and report defects or concerns.
• Work closely with colleagues and ground personnel to ensure lifting activities are properly coordinated.
• Keep appropriate records relating to loads, movements, and equipment use.
• Carry out basic routine checks and maintenance activities where required.
• Escalate mechanical or operational faults promptly.
• Support warehouse activities, including loading and unloading materials.
• Assist with general site duties and materials-handling tasks as required.
• Follow all relevant health and safety procedures, company policies, and lifting practices.

Overhead Crane Operator

Full-time: Monday to Friday

Upto £15 per hour

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Overhead Crane Operator to join our client's operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong heavy equipment experience who takes pride in working safely, accurately, and efficiently in a busy industrial environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe movement of materials and equipment using overhead lifting equipment, while supporting general site and materials-handling activities when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate overhead cranes and associated lifting equipment safely and efficiently.
