Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting an experienced Overhead Crane Operator for our Scunthorpe site. Operate overhead cranes safely to move heavy steel products and coordinate with production teams to meet targets on a fast-paced site.

Shifts are Monday to Friday with rotating 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00. Competitive hourly rates (£14.04 initially, £14.64 thereafter) with overtime paid at £21.06 and weekly pay. Immediate starts available for long-term roles.

Qualifications

• Overhead crane operator experience is essential.
• Experience in the steel/manufacturing/engineering sector.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
• Load, unload and move heavy steel products around site.
• Transport materials to production and storage areas.
• Carry out daily crane checks and report faults.
• Work closely with production teams to meet targets.
• Follow all site health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Assist with general material handling as required.

Are you an experienced Overhead Crane Operator looking for your next opportunity within a fast-paced heavy steel manufacturing environment?

We are currently seeking reliable and safety-conscious individuals to join a well-established industrial operation in Scunthorpe. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position with competitive pay rates, regular overtime and the potential for permanent employment.

Pay & Benefits

• £14.04 per hour for the first 12 weeks
• £14.64 per hour after 12 weeks

What We're Looking For

• Previous Overhead Crane Operator experience is essential.
