Job summary

Wolviston Management Services is recruiting an experienced Electrical Crane Technician for a Teesside site in a heavy industrial setting. You will take ownership of electrical maintenance, fault finding and continuous improvement across overhead cranes and lifting equipment to maximise plant availability.

The role suits a time-served Electrical Technician who is comfortable working at height and thrives in a demanding manufacturing environment, with safety and reliability at the core.

Qualifications

• Time-served electrical apprenticeship with relevant civil and industrial experience.
• Proven experience maintaining overhead cranes in heavy industry.
• Strong fault-finding skills on motors, drives, PLCs and control panels.

Responsibilities

• Deliver reactive and planned maintenance across overhead cranes and lifting systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on motors, drives, control panels, inverters and PLC systems.
• Conduct inspections, testing and preventative maintenance per site requirements.
• Support upgrades and improvement projects to enhance crane reliability.
• Work safely at height and follow permit and isolation procedures.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS (e.g., SAP).
• Collaborate with mechanical teams to minimise downtime.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
