Job summary

Clarke Energy is seeking an Overhaul & Repair Centre Operative to maintain a busy workshop, supporting engine overhaul and repair projects across the UK. You will keep the workshop clean, safe and well-organised, assisting engineers and the wider Service team.

This hands-on role requires initiative, reliability and a proactive approach to safety and housekeeping, with opportunities for overtime and career development within a globally recognised energy solutions business.

Qualifications

• Good general workshop and housekeeping awareness.
• Competent IT skills, including Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Understanding of the importance of health and safety in a workshop environment.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain high standards of organisation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, tidy and professional workshop environment at all times.
• Carry out general housekeeping duties across the Overhaul & Repair Centre.
• Take ownership of housekeeping standards, ensuring the workshop remains clean and organized.
• Support the efficient organisation of workshop areas, tools, equipment and consumables.
• Assist with booking in and out of tooling in accordance with company procedures.
• Work proactively using your own initiative to identify tasks and support workshop operations.
• Undertake additional duties to support the Overhaul & Repair Centre and wider business operations.
• Collect consumables from off-site locations when required.
• Deliver parts, tooling and equipment to off-site locations as necessary.
• Operate and inspect workshop equipment, including overhead cranes, forklift trucks and ladders.
• Complete daily pre-shift equipment checks and report any issues promptly.
• Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
