Job summary

Kenect Recruitment is seeking a Vehicle Polisher to join an experienced bodyshop team in Rochester. You will polish new painted panels, rectify paint defects, and ensure the finish matches the factory standard under supervision.

The role offers opportunities to train and upskill in a fast-paced setting, with scope for overtime during busy periods. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in vehicle polishing or similar role.
• Full valid UK driving licence (at least 2 years held).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication, team work, and initiative; flexible overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out polishing of new painted panels, ensuring dirt inclusions are removed and finish matches factory finish.
• Rectifying any paint defects that may have occurred during the paint process.
• Flat and polish with a handheld polisher.
• Ensure all parts are removed and refitted in line with manufacturer’s instructions and bagged and labelled for easy identification.
• Adhoc duties when required.

Salary: GBP13.35 - GBP15.35 per hour

We are lookingto recruit a Vehicle Polisher / Oven Rec to work as a part of an experienced bodyshop team, ensuring our vehicles are finished to the highest standard for our customers, under the support and guidance of the supervisor and Bodyshop Manager.

This is a great chance to join an experienced bodyshop team and work in a fast-paced environment. Within this role there will be further opportunities available to train and upskill.

Role Responsibilities:

• Carry out polishing of new painted panels, ensuring all dirt inclusions are removed and the overall finish matches the original factory finish
• Rectifying any paint defects that may have occurred during the paint process
• Flat and polish with a handheld polisher
• Ensure all parts are removed and refitted in line with manufacturer’s instructions and bagged and labelled for easy identification
• Adhoc duties when required

The Person:

• Previous experience in a similar role will be essential (minimum 2 years)
• Confident using all the necessary tools and materials required for this role
• Full valid UK driving licence is essential, held for a minimum of 2 years
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication skills and the ability to both work as part of a team and using own initiative
• Flexible to work overtime during busy periods if required
