Outside Sales Rep – Valves & Instrumentation

We're working with a small, established manufacturer's rep firm looking to hire a technically savvy, self-driven Outside Sales Rep. This role covers a territory across Southern New England, including the Greater Boston area, focusing on engineered valves and instrumentation. Typical customers are in industries like biotech, pharma, chemical processing, and power generation.

What you’ll be doing:

• Selling technical instrumentation and specialty valve products to a mix of existing customers and new accounts
• Regularly meeting with engineers, plant managers, and buyers at industrial facilities, OEMs, and engineering firms
• Managing your own territory with flexibility and independence—traveling regularly to client sites
• Building relationships, solving technical challenges, and identifying opportunities to grow the territory

What you should bring:

• Experience in technical sales—ideally instrumentation or process controls (pressure, flow, level, temperature, etc.)
• Familiarity selling into pharma, biotech, chemical plants, or similar industrial settings
• Comfortable working independently, with strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Interested in long-term career growth with future opportunities to take on leadership responsibility
