Job Description:

Archer Resourcing is seeking an experienced Outreach Worker to join their dedicated team in Newham. The successful candidate will engage with rough sleepers in a specific area, conduct assessments, make referrals, and ensure clients receive support to transition from the streets into accommodation or reconnect with services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform outreach work on a rota basis, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends if required.
• Assess the needs of rough sleepers and provide support options in collaboration with other agencies and specialists.
• Advocate on behalf of clients regarding welfare rights, healthcare needs, and other well-being issues.
• Maintain a caseload, providing ongoing guidance and support until clients are housed or connected to appropriate services.
• Source accommodation options within or connected to the area.
• Participate in the evaluation and development of outreach services.

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS check within the last 12 months (preferably on the update service). Fast track recruitment possible.
• At least 1 year of experience in a role within the substance misuse field.
• Full driving license and access to own vehicle are advantageous.
