A leading charity in London seeks a Specialist Outreach Worker to provide health and social care support to deaf individuals, many with mental health conditions. The role involves developing supportive relationships, assisting clients with independent skills, and providing emotional support. Candidates should have a minimum Level 2 in British Sign Language and knowledge of the deaf community. Role: Specialist Outreach Worker
Salary: £13.85 per hour
Location: London and surrounding areas
Hours: 21 hours per week. Availability to work a variety of day shifts across weekdays and weekends.
Contract type: Permanent

You will be expected to work various shifts, including morning, afternoon, evening, and occasional night shifts (depending on client needs), as well as weekends and bank holidays.

We are recruiting individuals to provide high-quality health and social care support to deaf individuals, many with mental health conditions. We seek independent, dynamic, compassionate, and hardworking individuals who can support clients in becoming as independent as possible.
As an Outreach Worker, your tasks include developing supportive relationships, assisting with independent skills, providing emotional support, developing personalized plans, and maintaining professional standards.
You will liaise with statutory authorities, social workers, and other professionals to access referrals and reviews. The work is challenging but rewarding.
Due to the nature of the role, you must understand the importance of sensitive data handling in line with GDPR, care regulations, and CQC standards. Knowledge of safeguarding, working with young people, adults at risk, or adults in crisis is beneficial but not essential.
