Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an Outreach Tutor to support students across the St Helens area. The role involves delivering high-quality 1:1 tuition and tailored lessons to learners with diverse needs.

Start date September 2026, with 5-15 hours per week, ongoing and flexible arrangements. Ideal candidates will hold QTS or equivalent (desirable), have UK teaching or tutoring experience, and a patient, creative, and adaptable approach.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)
• Experience working with students requiring additional support, including those disengaged from education or with SEND (advantageous)
• UK teaching or tutoring experience
• A creative, patient, and flexible approach to teaching

Eligibility

• Hold the right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional references related to working with children or young people
