Job summary

A leading educational recruitment agency in Liverpool is seeking an experienced Outreach Tutor to deliver bespoke 1:1 education packages to young people with complex needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for inclusive education and the ability to adapt lessons. A minimum of 6 months experience in a UK school and QTS or equivalent is required. This part-time role offers a pay rate of GBP25 per hour.

Complex Needs Outreach Tutor needed in Liverpool and St Helens

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced Outreach Tutor to deliver bespoke education packages on a 1:1 basis to young people with complex needs who are not currently attending school.

As an Outreach Tutor, you will create, plan, and deliver highly personalised lessons that focus on building confidence and engagement in core subjects such as English and Maths. Many of these learners have significant additional needs and may be fully reliant on adults for care, including the use of wheelchairs.

This role is ideal for a tutor who is passionate about inclusive education and can adapt lessons to meet individual needs. Experience with communication systems such as Makaton and PECS would be highly beneficial.

Your role will involve reintroducing structure and routine into the students day, supporting both academic and life skills development. Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor progress and provide ongoing support to ensure effective learning outcomes.

Contract / Position Details

Location - Within the community or pupils home in Liverpool and St Helens
Position - Outreach Tutor (Complex Needs)
Type of work - Contract
Full time/part time - Part-time - 15 - 25hr p/w
Minimum rate of pay - GBP25 per hour
Hours - Minimum 1 hour per session, maximum 3 hours per session

Experience, Training and Qualifications

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child-related references that cover the last two years
