Job summary

Lexia Education Services Ltd in Bath is seeking an Outreach Mentor to support students with SEN/SEMH, delivering 1:1 and group-based support and fostering a safe, engaging learning environment. You will design activities across sport, music, drama, and art, building trusting relationships and helping pupils develop resilience with compassionate, consistent guidance.

The role offers comprehensive training including Level 2 Team Teach, mileage reimbursement, and progression toward permanent school

Responsibilities

  • Offer targeted pastoral support to students to help them succeed socially, emotionally and academically.
  • Lead engaging activities through sports, music, drama, and art to connect and inspire.
  • Foster a positive environment, helping students regulate emotions and behave positively in class and beyond.
  • Support students with SEN and SEMH, adjusting approaches with school staff as needed.
  • Promote positive behaviour using Team Teach strategies to de-escalate situations.

Key Responsibilities of an Outreach Mentor

    Use creativity and energy to design interactive sessions – think sports, music, drama, and art that connect and inspire.
  • Foster a Positive Environment
    Help students regulate emotions, navigate challenges, and develop the tools to behave positively in and outside of class.
  • Support Students with SEN and SEMH
    Adjust your approach based on individual needs, collaborating with school staff and other professionals where needed.
  • Promote Positive Behaviour
    Use Team Teach strategies to de-escalate situations and model resilience, compassion, and calm leadership.
What We Offer You

    Daily rates between £109.50– £120, depending on experience and placement.
