EK Outreach Services is a specialist provider of one‑to‑one teaching for students who are unable to access mainstream school environments due to medical, emotional, or learning difficulties. We work with students who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), providing individualised support to meet their specific learning needs. Our goal is to offer high‑quality education, giving students the tools and confidence to succeed despite the challenges they face in traditional educational settings. Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maths Teacher to deliver one‑to‑one lessons with diverse needs, including those with SEND. In this role you will teach and support students who cannot attend mainstream schooling, helping them engage with Maths Studies through tailored and accessible lessons. Lessons may take place in students’ homes, libraries, or other agreed‑upon locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver individualised Maths lessons aligned with the student’s academic level and learning objectives.
  • Teach a range of topics at GCSE or equivalent levels.
  • Promote mathematical understanding, engagement and motivation in students.
  • Remain patient and flexible, adapting lesson content and teaching methods to support students with SEND and other learning challenges.
  • Track and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with pastoral teams to ensure holistic support for each student.
  • Maintain thorough records of lessons and progress in line with educational requirements.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience teaching Maths.
  • Experience with Edexcel Functional Skills Maths (Entry Level 1 up to Level 2) and KS3/GCSE Mathematics Foundation and Higher level.
  • Experience working with SEND students is highly desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum and related topics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students in a one‑to‑one setting.
  • Flexibility to work in various locations, including students’ homes or other designated learning environments.
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
