Outreach Coordinator
An exciting opportunity to help shape our growing outreach service, this is a fixed term contract working 30 hours per week, for 52 weeks a year. Band 8 SCP 23-28 £35,570 - £40,444 (FTE) £28,843 - £32,785 pro-rated.
At Christchurch Learning Centre, we understand that some young people need something different to help them engage successfully with education.
As our outreach provision continues to develop, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Outreach Coordinator to join our team and help us take tailored support directly to pupils in local schools.
Working with children and young people referred to our service through Local Authority pathways, you will provide individualised support to help pupils overcome barriers to learning, engagement, attendance and wellbeing. The role will involve working directly with pupils, alongside supporting the staff around them, developing positive relationships and finding practical approaches that make a genuine difference.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days will be quite the same. You will deliver targeted interventions, develop individual support plans and coordinate a caseload, working closely with families, schools and other professionals to help achieve positive and sustainable outcomes for young people.
You will also support and provide guidance to staff within schools, monitor progress and outcomes, and contribute ideas and expertise to the ongoing development of our outreach service.
Experience within alternative provision, PRU, SEND or SEMH settings would be welcomed.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Christchurch Learning Centre at a time when our outreach provision is developing and expanding. If you enjoy working creatively with young people, building relationships and finding ways to help pupils reconnect with education, we would love to hear from you.
The Centre values the diversity of our workforce and welcomes applicants from all sectors of the community. The Centre is also committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people; this is a commitment which we expect all staff and volunteers to share. The successful candidate will be required to have an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check in line with the Government safer recruitment guidelines.
