Outpatients Receptionist/Booking Co-Ordinator - Stoke Mandeville

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, personable, dynamic, and self-motivated individual to join the Patient Access Team as an Ophthalmology Outpatients Receptionist.

The role involves welcoming patients to our department, booking outpatient appointments, and handling administrative duties related to follow-up processes. You will also have the opportunity to work and train in other areas within Patient Access to gain essential skills for personal development.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Welcoming patients, verifying and updating vital information in their records.
  2. Following specialty-specific processes for patient follow-up appointments.
  3. Preparing for the Oral/Orthodontic clinic weekly and updating as necessary.
  4. Collaborating with team members to complete daily workload.
  5. Arranging outpatient appointments via the Choose and Book system, including confirming, cancelling, or rescheduling.
  6. Communicating effectively with patients regarding their appointments via email, phone, or letter.
  7. Arranging transport and translation services when needed.
