Hours: 20 hours per week (Monday 08.30-17.00, Tuesday 08.30-13.30, Wednesday 08.30-17.00)

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, personable, dynamic and self-motivated individual to join the Patient Access Team as Outpatients Receptionist.

The role involves welcoming patients to our department, booking patients in for their Outpatient appointments, and performing the administrative duties regarding the follow-up processes.

You will also have the opportunity to work and train in other areas and teams within Patient Access, gaining essential skills and experience to support ongoing personal development.

Main duties of the job
  • Welcoming patients to our department and checking vital information on their records, updating as necessary.
  • Following processes specific to specialties regarding patients' follow-up appointments.
  • Being responsible for the Oral/Orthodontic clinic prep, which is a weekly task, and updated daily or as necessary.
  • Working in a team to complete daily workloads.
  • Arranging outpatient appointments using the Choose and Book system where applicable, confirming, cancelling, and changing appointments as necessary.
  • Ensuring effective communication with patients regarding their appointments via email, phone or letter.
  • Arranging transport and translation services where necessary.
