Job summary

Spire Harpenden Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Outpatients department on a fixed-term maternity cover. The role involves delivering high-quality patient care across clinics, supporting consultants and multidisciplinary teams, and performing nursing interventions as required.

The ideal candidate will hold an active NMC registration, have Outpatients experience, with wound care skills and strong communication. Flexibility and a patient-focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration with no restrictions or conditions.
• Experience working in an Outpatients Department.
• Experience undertaking wound care and dressings.
• Phlebotomy skills are desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of patient care in the Outpatients team.
• Support consultants and multidisciplinary teams across clinics and procedures.
• Undertake clinical procedures including wound dressings and other nursing interventions.
• Promote best practice and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Liaise with hospital departments to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
