Job summary

NCIC in Carlisle is seeking a Band 3 Clinical Support Worker for Outpatients, 19 hours per week. The post is based at the Cumberland Infirmary with duties including setting up and closing down clinics and delivering compassionate, patient-centred care.

The successful candidate will support nursing staff, work within a multi-disciplinary team, and maintain high standards of hygiene and safety. Eligibility criteria include the NHS Care Certificate and relevant clinical training.

Qualifications

• Level 3 vocational qualification in health and/or care.
• GCSE Maths and English grade 4–9 or equivalent.
• National Care Certificate.
• Undertaken relevant additional training for Clinical Support Workers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the registered nurses and other healthcare practitioners in providing high quality patient care.
• Maintain patients' privacy and dignity with compassionate, sensitive care.
• Be an effective part of the multi-disciplinary team contributing to department objectives.
• Develop and maintain competencies in nursing tasks to ensure safe care.
• Contribute to housekeeping and other ward/department duties as required.
