Job summary

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Health Care Assistant band 2 or Clinical Support Worker band 3 to join the ENT Outpatient Department across CRH, Acre Mills, and HRI. The role requires good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with initiative in a supportive inpatient/outpatient team.

Qualifications

• English and Maths GCSE grade 9-2 (A*-E) or equivalent
• Competence based level 2 Qualification e.g. NVQ or Diploma in Care or The Care Certificate
• Moving and Handling
• Infection Control
• Customer Care
• Health Care Assistant core competencies

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care maintaining patient privacy and dignity
• Assess patients using observations and safety tools
• Escalate abnormal findings as needed
• Input patient care data into computer systems
• Explain OPD journey to patients and carers
• Work with nurses, AHPs and doctors within scope of practice
• General housekeeping and administrative duties as required
