Job summary

Ramsay Health Care UK is seeking a Physiotherapy Technician for Fitzwilliam Hospital, Peterborough. This part-time role (22.5 hours) supports the outpatient physiotherapy team, assisting with rehabilitation, discharge planning, and non-clinical tasks under supervision.

The successful candidate will have good English, solid customer service, and IT skills, with strong time management and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Good standard of written English appropriate to the role
• Basic standard of education
• Suitability for role e.g. experience of working with the general public
• Knowledge of Physiotherapy and service delivery
• Good standard of communication by way of telephone, written and face to face
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise a workload
• Good IT skills
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently using initiative

• Willingness to accept additional responsibility

Responsibilities

• Undertake specific support work to aid the rehabilitation and discharge of patients as directed by set standards and protocols or under supervision and guidance from qualified therapists and Senior Technicians.
• To work unsupervised, reporting back patient progress and informing the physiotherapist of any problems.
• To support the therapy team with non-clinical tasks, including equipment, housekeeping and administration tasks.
