Job summary

SJK Healthcare is recruiting an experienced Endocrine Outpatients Nurse to support specialist clinics across NHS hospitals in the UK. You will conduct assessments, educate patients, and support consultant-led clinics within busy outpatient settings.

The role requires an NMC PIN and at least 1 year in endocrinology, diabetes, or general medicine, with excellent communication and organisational skills. Flexible outpatient shifts and swift compliance are offered.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NMC PIN required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Endocrinology, Diabetes, General Medicine or related area.
• Strong understanding of endocrine conditions and treatment pathways.
• Confident with clinical assessments and patient education.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Able to work autonomously within busy outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Supporting consultant-led Endocrinology clinics.
• Conducting clinical assessments & observations.
• Managing patients with endocrine conditions (diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, metabolic bone disease).
• Assisting with blood tests, endocrine investigations & clinic preparation.
• Medication education and adherence support (insulin knowledge advantageous).
• Providing patient education on lifestyle and condition management.
• Supporting virtual/telephone follow-up clinics.
• Accurate documentation in EPR systems.
• Collaborating with Consultants, HCAs, Diabetes Nurses and AHPs.

SJK Healthcare is urgently recruiting an experienced Endocrine Outpatients Nurse to support specialist endocrine clinics across NHS hospitals. This role is ideal for a nurse with strong experience in managing hormonal and metabolic conditions, providing patient education, and supporting consultant-led clinics.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting consultant-led Endocrinology clinics
• Conducting clinical assessments & observations
• Managing Patients With a Range Of Endocrine Conditions, Including
  • Diabetes (Type 1 & 2)
  • Thyroid disorders (hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules)
  • Adrenal disorders (Addison’s, Cushing’s)
  • Pituitary conditions
  • Metabolic bone disease
• Assisting with blood tests, endocrine investigations & clinic preparation
• Medication support (insulin knowledge advantageous)
• Providing patient education on lifestyle, medication adherence, and condition management
• Supporting virtual/telephone follow-up clinics
• Accurately documenting patient notes in EPR systems
• Working alongside Consultants, HCAs, Diabetes Nurses, and AHPs

Requirements
