Job summary

SJK Healthcare is urgently recruiting an experienced Endocrine Outpatients Nurse to support specialist clinics across NHS hospitals in Mid / South Wales. This role offers flexible outpatient shifts with fast-track compliance and weekly payroll.

You will conduct clinical assessments, manage a range of endocrine conditions, and provide education to patients while working alongside Consultants, HCAs, Diabetes Nurses, and AHPs.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC PIN) with baseline nursing qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Endocrinology, Diabetes, General Medicine, or related area.
• Strong understanding of endocrine conditions and treatment pathways.

Responsibilities

• Supporting consultant-led Endocrinology clinics.
• Conducting clinical assessments & observations.
• Managing patients with diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and metabolic bone disorders.
• Assisting with blood tests, endocrine investigations & clinic preparation.
• Medication support; insulin knowledge advantageous.
• Providing patient education on lifestyle, adherence, and condition management.
• Supporting virtual/telephone follow-up clinics.
• Documenting patient notes in EPR systems.
• Collaborating with Consultants, HCAs, Diabetes Nurses, and AHPs.

SJK Healthcare is urgently recruiting an experienced Endocrine Outpatients Nurse to support specialist endocrine clinics across NHS hospitals. This role is ideal for a nurse with strong experience in managing hormonal and metabolic conditions, providing patient education, and supporting consultant-led clinics.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting consultant-led Endocrinology clinics
• Conducting clinical assessments & observations
• Managing Patients With a Range Of Endocrine Conditions, Including
  • Diabetes (Type 1 & 2)
  • Thyroid disorders (hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules)
  • Adrenal disorders (Addison’s, Cushing’s)
  • Pituitary conditions
  • Metabolic bone disease
• Assisting with blood tests, endocrine investigations & clinic preparation
• Medication support (insulin knowledge advantageous)
• Providing patient education on lifestyle, medication adherence, and condition management
• Supporting virtual/telephone follow-up clinics
• Accurately documenting patient notes in EPR systems
• Working alongside Consultants, HCAs, Diabetes Nurses, and AHPs

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (NMC PIN required)
• Minimum 1 year experience in Endocrinology, Diabetes, General Medicine, or related area
• Strong understanding of endocrine conditions and treatment pathways
• Confident with clinical assessments and patient education
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Able to work autonomously within busy outpatient settings
• You must be living in the UK and have the right to work in the UK
