Job summary

Driver Hire Grangemouth in Falkirk is seeking a practical Yard Person for a full-time, ongoing role (temp to perm - 12 weeks). You will manage yard upkeep, load/unload deliveries, and prepare equipment for hire.

The successful candidate will have yard/warehouse experience, a hands-on approach, and a focus on health and safety, with the ability to work outdoors and both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a yard, warehouse or similar environment.
• Forklift experience would be preferred but is not essential.
• A practical, hands-on approach to work.
• Good awareness of health & safety.
• The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A reliable and hardworking attitude.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• General upkeep and organisation of the yard.
• Loading and unloading deliveries.
• Moving equipment and materials around the yard.
• Preparing equipment for hire and return.
• Checking equipment for damage, cleanliness and general condition.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
• Assisting with deliveries and collections when required.
• Keeping the yard clean, tidy and safe.
• Supporting the wider team with general yard duties.
• Following all company health & safety procedures.
