Job summary

Dorset Council is recruiting for Loaders to join our waste and recycling teams. No prior experience is required, and you’ll be outdoors, keeping fit while contributing to local environmental goals.

The role involves 37 hours per week on a rota, with potential overtime, early mornings, weekends and bank holidays, and opportunities for training to progress to HGV driving. A supportive, community-focused employer.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required.
• Willingness to work outdoors and on a rota basis.
• Able to work as part of a team and follow site safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Collect waste and recycling from the roadside as part of the team.
• Work to a rota including early mornings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Help ensure our waste is sorted and properly processed.
