Job summary

Biffa is seeking a Plant Machine Driver at Salmon Pastures Transfer Station. The role runs Monday to Friday, 45 hours weekly, with start times from 06:00 to 15:30. Salary is £31,000 per year.

You will operate plant machinery, perform safety checks, and maintain a clean site while following health and safety policies. This outdoors role offers initiative-driven work, contributing to local environmental outcomes and communities.

Qualifications

• Experience operating plant machinery.
• Plant machinery tickets/licences (CPCS or NPORS).
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to carry out daily vehicle and equipment checks.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
• Previous experience within a waste management or recycling environment desirable.
