Job summary

Ledbury Town Council is seeking an Amenity Area Operative to maintain town parks, open spaces, cemetery and public amenities in Ledbury. You will work under the Operations Manager performing grounds maintenance and horticultural duties and support markets and events throughout the year.

The role requires experience in grounds maintenance or horticulture, familiarity with hand tools, and a valid driving licence. Outdoor work and occasional early mornings or weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture or landscaping.
• Experience using hand tools and buildings maintenance.
• Relevant horticulture/grounds maintenance qualifications advantageous.
• Full driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Undertake grounds maintenance and horticultural duties.
• Support the operation of the cemetery.
• Assist with markets, events and other operational activities.
• Work outdoors in all weather; may involve early mornings, evenings and weekends.
