Colchester City Council is recruiting a Civil Enforcement Officer for Harlow within the North Essex Parking Partnership. The role involves patrolling parking restrictions, engaging with the public, and issuing penalties to ensure safe and compliant road use.

Qualifications

• Must have a full UK manual driving licence.
• Ability to walk more than 10 miles a day in all weather.
• Positive, polite and professional attitude.
• Literacy, numeracy and basic IT skills.
• Confidence to work independently and as part of a team.
• Resilience.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling parking restrictions.
• Protecting the safety and interests of road users.
• Issuing penalty charge notices.
• Resolving face-to-face customer enquiries.
• Reporting issues with the road network to the appropriate authority.
