Job summary

Brunel School is seeking an experienced practitioner to deliver trauma-informed outdoor learning and THRIVE interventions. The role focuses on helping pupils with SEMH needs to develop emotional regulation, resilience and engagement with school through practical nature-based activities.

The post-holder will plan and run small-group and 1:1 sessions, lead THRIVE work, and integrate therapeutic activities into wider provision maps while upholding safeguarding standards. Term-time only role.

Qualifications

• Experienced, reflective and emotionally literate practitioner.
• Delivers safe, high-quality outdoor learning and therapeutic experiences.
• Leads THRIVE group and 1:1 interventions with baseline assessment and progress reviews.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate small-group and one-to-one outdoor sessions (0.1 FTE).
• Deliver THRIVE interventions with structured delivery and progress reviews (0.9 FTE).
• Incorporate therapeutic activities into provision maps and curricula.
• Maintain safeguarding and behaviour management per policy.
• Carry out site checks, equipment storage and risk assessments for sessions.
• Keep records of participation and progress; contribute to reports and meetings.
• Support training and modelling of trauma-informed outdoor practice for staff.
