Job summary

Sanctuary Property Services is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to maintain communal gardens and green spaces in Ipswich. The role involves outdoor work, operating basic landscaping equipment, and keeping areas clean and safe for residents.

You will join a friendly team and play a key role in delivering high-quality outdoor environments. A valid UK driving licence and prior experience are preferred, with a commitment to safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Literacy and numeracy equivalent to grade C GCSE English and Maths.
• Pesticide PA1-PA6 (or willingness to work towards) is required.
• Recent experience in a similar grounds maintenance role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining communal gardens and green spaces to a high standard.
• Carrying out grounds maintenance in line with service standards.
• Operating landscaping equipment safely and effectively.
• Recording work completed and informing customers of progress.
• Responding to service issues and resolving them promptly.
