Job summary

Recruit Mint Ltd is seeking an Electrical Technician for a growing renewable energy operation near Ely. This is a hands-on, outdoors role rather than a desk job, with a days-only four-on, four-off shift pattern (12-hour days).

You will maintain and improve electrical systems across site plants, from maintenance and fault-finding to installations, testing and breakdown response, with training and long-term career development on offer.

Qualifications

• Industrial or manufacturing electrical maintenance experience.
• Experience of electrical breakdown repair, maintenance and installation.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostics skills.
• Experience of modifying control panels and working with three-phase systems and safety circuits.
• Experience with motor testing and instrumentation/control signals.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance in line with maintenance schedules.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults across site systems and equipment.
• Performing electrical repairs, installations, inspections and testing to a high standard.
• Modifying and maintaining control panels.
• Supporting breakdown investigations and returning equipment to service quickly and safely.
• Working on motors, drives, instrumentation, control systems and process equipment.
• Fault-finding on three-phase electrical systems and safety circuits.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records using company logging systems.
• Supporting mechanical maintenance activities where required.
• Working outdoors and at height across operational plant areas, in all weather conditions.
