Job summary

Yarm School is seeking an Outdoor Education Instructor to lead and coordinate the School's Outdoor Education programme. The role covers weekly activity sessions, weekend adventure trips and overseas expeditions, with a strong emphasis on safety and pupil development.

The successful candidate will have substantial outdoor leadership experience, and will hold two NGB awards such as Mountain Leader and Rock Climbing Instructor, with Paddlesport Leader highly valued.

Outdoor Education Instructor at Yarm School

Salary £29,869-£33,342 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

To contribute to the smooth running of the School Outdoor Education programme, including weekly activity sessions, weekend adventure trips and overseas expeditions.

The post-holder will have significant experience of working with groups in an outdoor setting, with experience of working in a school environment desirable.

The ideal candidate will possess two NGB awards from Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor and Paddlesport Leader, with further qualifications desirable.
