Job summary

Rullion seeks an experienced Maintenance Planner to lead outage planning for major power/industrial outages. You will coordinate inspections, maintenance campaigns and engineering projects to ensure safety, schedule and budget adherence.

The role requires strong planning skills, exposure to outage lifecycles and collaboration with site teams, contractors and stakeholders. This is a permanent, on-site position offering a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Experience in outage, project or maintenance planning in large industrial environments.
• Experience planning major outages, shutdowns, inspections or overhauls in power generation or process industries.
• Knowledge of health, safety, CDM and environmental legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and coordination of major planned outages to meet safety, programme, cost and quality KPIs.
• Develop and manage integrated outage schedules with milestones, critical paths and resources.
• Coordinate with Site Outage Managers, Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, H&S, Environmental and Finance teams.
• Integrate contractor and supplier programmes into the overall outage schedule.
• Monitor outage progress and implement recovery actions where required.
• Plan major inspections, overhauls and maintenance campaigns within outage windows.
• Optimise downtime and plant availability through efficient sequencing.
• Assist with budget forecasting, cost control and contract management.
• Apply project controls to manage changes and emergent work during outages.
• Drive continuous improvement via lessons learned and post-outage reviews.
• Ensure outages comply with Generation Safety Rules and statutory requirements.
